This restaurant is no exception. Reminiscent of a Parisian bistro, the ornate façade and parquet floors are instantly reminiscent of 20th-century France.

Sen 60 Ly Thai

Hanoi Social Club

Hanoi Social Club is a top spot  in Hanoi if you're looking for a cool, bohemian hangout that serves a great Western-style brunch. The coffee and smoothies are excellent, and the chill out room on the second floor feels more like a friend's house than a coffee shop. It has a diverse and modern soundtrack, a library of books, and free Wi-Fi. 

Come  lunchtime and try the poached eggs and avocado. It's sure to taste as good as anything you'd get in a cool café on the waterfront of Sydney Harbour. Quite difficult to find on a side street a few minutes west of St Joseph's Cathedral.

Quan An Ngon is a successful Hanoi restaurant that has since opened  many  branches in Saigon. The concept has been embraced by foreign tourists who want to try all kinds of Vietnamese cuisine in one restaurant.  Quan An Ngon's grounds are like a luxury food court, with various food stations arranged around  the restaurant serving freshly cooked-to-order regional dishes from  all over Vietnam. 

Some have complained that it lacks real authenticity which has been downgraded to appease the western palate, but everything is very well prepared and the restaurant is beautifully decorated in traditional Vietnamese style. increase.

Xuan Xuan Restaurant may not win any awards for its style, but if you want to eat like a local, this Vietnamese barbecue is one of the best in town. Sit  on an ankle-deep stool and order a selection of meats (pork, beef, goat) and vegetables. Everything is laid out on a large plate and you cook your own dinner on the small gas  stove. 
 
It was a pleasant experience, eaten with a wide range of customers and the taste was really good. Located in the heart of the Old Town, look out for  crowds of happy diners spilling  onto the sidewalks.

La Verticale

La Verticale is a fine dining restaurant located in a colonial mansion in Hanoi. The restaurant's layout  is distinctive, with an open-plan kitchen dominating  the spotlight. The food doesn't disappoint, though, with a seasonal menu that reflects the region's herbs and spices, produced according to French techniques. 
 
Duck terrine, ratatouille, tamarind veal  and Mekong fruit sorbet are all popular dishes here, and there's also a set menu with optional wines. The wine list is excellent, the service diligent and the atmosphere conducive to romance. There is also a rooftop terrace with great views of the city, which you can enjoy after dinner with a delicious cold drink.
