Best Places to go shopping in hanoi

The best places to shop in Hanoi tend to be traditional markets and narrow shophouses, but there is a growing number of independent boutiques and  malls offering a  range of international brands,  dining and entertainment options. The biggest advantage of shopping in Hanoi is that it can  all be done on foot, as many streets are devoted to specific trades.

This is especially true in the Old Quarter, where Silk Street and Silver Street still maintain a unique trade after hundreds of years. Whether you're looking for quirky souvenirs like Vietnamese peasant hats or handcrafted silk evening dresses, we've compiled a list of the best places to shop in Hanoi.
